Affidavit Rebuttal Part Two (2)

A.               Lie: The credit card and its role

There are more lies in Coward’s 2nd sentence, and the rest of the 2nd paragraph:

I had discovered that she had opened a credit card in my name without my knowledge and had spent it to its maximum of $5000 dollars. I had also discovered many other lies and deceptions by Writer of this blog regarding our relationship. At this time I thought it best to end the relationship.

Around mid to late February 1996, I discovered incontrovertible evidence confirming my suspicions that Coward had been unfaithful to me. I had felt vindicated in opening a credit card account in both Coward’s and my name, after suffering his excessive control over how I could spend our money. The credit limit was $2,000, and not the $5,000 that Coward alleges here. Coward did not find out about the account until after I ended the relationship.

The entire balance of the card was paid by me, and never by Coward. We were still together from February to June 1996, and I paid it out of our shared account. After I ended the relationship, I temporarily stopped paying on the account.

Coward did not discover the account’s existence until at least two months after I ended the relationship, around August or September 1996.

I remember how he discovered it, because he violently confronted me about it at the time. It was summer in the Sierra Nevada's. I remember I was wearing shorts. My sister  and I had just pulled into the parking lot of Small town Video one evening. Before we could get out, a pickup truck belonging to Coward’s friend, LardO, pulled in behind me and blocked in my car. LardO was driving and Coward was his passenger. Coward came to my side of the car and yanked me out of it, scraping my exposed thigh on the car door as he did so. He grabbed for my purse, yelling that he wanted the credit card, and began emptying my purse. He terrified me and my sister.

I had already thrown away the credit card, so he didn’t find it in there. My sister was yelling at him to stop. LardO stood by and watched, doing nothing. Coward kicked in the driver side door panel, leaving a big dent. Around that time, the owner of the video store came outside to see what was causing the commotion. At that point, Coward and LardO left the parking lot.

Later, I guess Coward must have complained to the credit card company, because they called me about whether he should have been liable for the debt. I agreed to take over the debt fully and absolve Coward of responsibility. The debt should have been solely on my credit report, not his. I reached a settlement with the debtor and have closed the account as paid. Coward never paid a dime into that account.

I haven’t even begun to detail Coward’s “lies and deceptions” to me, especially regarding his numerous affairs. Briefly, Coward had infected me with a sexually-transmitted disease that he acquired from a one-night stand, perhaps a prostitute. He denied it, and blamed poor bathroom hygiene on my part. He admitted later to having a different one-night stand and several “almost” sexual encounters, and I still forgave him.

I was young and naïve, and didn’t feel brave enough to be on my own. I did suspect his infidelity many other times. Even when I had proof that he hadn’t been faithful, after he had professed his trueness repeatedly and profoundly, I reluctantly accepted his promises to stay true. He finally broke his promises too many times, and I got older and wiser enough to have the courage to end it.

Corroboration
I will authorize an inquiry with credit reporting agencies as to archival or historical data, if it exists. The account was closed years ago.
My sister Marlene remembers this event and will attest to its truthfulness.

Happy Birthday Asshole, hope it sucked.

It’s the birthday of Coward, the asshole from California. What does a monster do to celebrate his birthday?

Does he have his wife, children, step and real shower him with a dinner and gifts? Does he get phone calls from his family, sister, nephews, nieces, grandchildren where they sing him happy birthday? Do old friends call, or send cards and gifts on his special day to celebrate the awesome man he is? Somehow I don’t think that happened for Coward.  No, this is what happened for my husbands birthday, which was last week—which is pretty much what he gets every year from us—except this year a trip was thrown in. I imagine for Coward there was yelling, tension, and forced accolades from the stepdaughters who find him creepy and know that what I’ve said here is true. Nothing like the parties I would throw for him, making him homemade yellow cake with chocolate frosting his favorite, a BBQ, a house full of my friends and a couple or two of his. They were all my friends honestly, minus four S&D, S.P. & D.J—that’s it. Somehow I don’t see that party happening for Coward this year. First, because I’m not around to bring all those people together or the factor that his wife is as welcoming as a porcupine.  Additionally,  there is not enough money in the world to ever have me do anything for him-EVER, again.  Also, most people don’t/didn’t like Coward, he’s just weird. You have no idea when you meet him what lies beneath it's just that you just find him odd, with his mannerisms; the way he speaks, hand movements with his hand waving around when he talks, etc. Surprise he's just not odd-- he abused women!

Wow, almost 50—and boy howdy you did not age well. Then again, time is not kind to abusive monsters. Eventually it starts to eat you from the within, pulling your face and body into the pit of darkness and anger that you call a soul.

Enabling, it has GOT to stop

I wanted to share the inspiration for displaying Coward’s picture as a warning to others. The inspiration came from Chris Brown, well an incident that happened to him recently. When his latest CD's was shipped to the stores they came with a warning sticker on the front stating, "Warning, do not buy this album, this man beats women." Hence, my own warning.

I know that there are family members of Coward reading this, and I'm sorry if you had to find out this way. I don't know, maybe you knew all along? Maybe you'll make excuses for him, because of his upbringing, or who knows why? I do know that if you do just that, you're just enabling him and you're an enabler as well. I know all about this, because I was just that myself once. When I didn't report him, when I kept his secrets, when I befriended him after the break up, and sugar coated everything to myself and other's I was enabling him. I am disgusted and ashamed at THAT behavior. I know that I was the victim of his emotional and physical abuse, honestly the emotional abuse is the part that haunts the victims the longest. I know that he will excuse away his behavior, he's always done that. "You made brownies with frosting, it's your fault I threw the pan at your head." I don't like frosting on brownies, so it's your fault for doing something so dastardly. I know it's freaking insane when I say these things out loud now, because it WAS insane what he did to me, and others. This example is so tame, but he honest- to -god threw a pan of brownies at my head because there was frosting on them. I had to clean it up of course, because gah, it was my fault after all. It took me YEARS to eat a brownie because of this.

Maybe you're trying to search inside for the goodness in him. I know there are good moments, and things he's done that aren't all bad. Maybe you're clinging to those thoughts when you think about what he's done. His actions, what he's done to countless women, physically and mentally, having sex with minors. Any good he's done, cannot stand up to the wrong he's committed. When you try to think of the good things he's done like, taking little Lola to church every week. Aw, how sweet helping this little girl out. Then you find out that he's sleeping with Lola just a couple of years later. you think to yourself, was he plotting this all along, was he desiring a child? I don't know if she was of age when they slept together, I think it might be VERY close. It doesn't change the fact that he was sexual with someone whom he mentored and whom he knew was simple minded, as in not fully grasping how the world works, kind of young woman.

I know what it's like to be saddened that someone who is your own flesh and blood be something you're not proud of, or in this case ashamed. You cannot choose your family, you can only choose your friends and partners.
